Brazilian Court Seeks Gay Tony Ban

Court asking Rockstar to halt sales of the game worldwide.

According to a report from the Associated Press, the Third Civil Court in the city of Barueri is requesting the publisher and its Brazilian distributor Synergex to stop selling any form of the Grand Theft Auto: IV expansion The Ballad of Gay Tony worldwide due to a problem with the game's soundtrack.

Rockstar allegedly used the song 'Bota o Dedinho pro Alto' without asking the artist for permission. The report says Rockstar Games and Synergex will be fined $3,000 per day if they do not comply.

As of press time, a spokesperson from Rockstar Games told IGN the publisher did not receive any notice from the court about this matter but are investigating.

We'll update this story as we know more.
