The Final Fantasy VII heroine is playable in the sequel, but she doesn't remember Cloud.
Final Fantasy VII's Tifa Lockhart was pretty much confirmed for inclusion in Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy when she appeared in the game's Tokyo Game Show trailer. Today, Square Enix made her appearance totally official by adding her to the game's official site.

Tifa is adept at punches and kicks and uses Final Heaven as her EX Burst. In cinematic scenes, she's shown thanking Cloud for coming to her rescue, but otherwise does not know who her FFVII counterpart is. Cloud doesn't know her either. This amnesia is an effect of the characters having been summoned to a new world.
In the screens, you can see Tifa in her standard form and "Another Form" outfits. Her standard form outfit is her classic FFVII mini skirt and suspenders. Her Another Form outfit is from Final Fantasy VII Advent Children.
All the returning characters have their standard and Another Form outfits from the original Dissidia, but are also being given "Third Form" outfits. Cloud's Third Form is a design from FF series illustrator Yoshitaka Amano. Sephiroth is an unaltered version of his FFVII costume, differing slightly from his standard form.
