SCEA president says company having trouble keeping up with demand.
Sony increased production twice, and it still can't keep up with demand for its motion-controller, PlayStation Move. That's according to SCEA President and CEO Jack Tretton, who says Move has moved more than 1 million units during its first month on sale in the Americas.
After announcing last week it has sold more than 1.5 million Move controllers in Europe, Tretton reported sales in the Americas, telling Reuters that Sony is "absolutley maxed out right now" as it tries to keep the device on store shelves.

"Retail demand is incredibly strong and we're working hard to keep the product in stock," Tretton said in a statement. "We believe consumers have already shown their preference for a precise, interactive game experience. We are on target to meet our end of year goals and expect sales to increase as our publishers and developers continue to update popular titles and introduce new games."
Move recently launched in Japan, so expect more sales updates from Sony in the near future. Microsoft is set to launch its own controller-free motion capture device, Kinect, on November 4. Microsoft has stated it expects to sell 3 million Kinect units in 2010, which would put it on par with Move's more than 2.5 million in its first month.
