Preview: Batman Arkham City PS3/360/PC

Batman: Asylum was a rarity in gaming, it was a brilliant game based around a popular comic hero. For years the Batman had suffered from piss-poor games that had rarely gotten close to doing the comic justice.
Arkham Asylum changed all that with its excellent graphics, great gameplay, superb voice-acting and all of those Bat toys!
Now Rocksteady Studios and Warner interactive will be taking us back to the asylum in Batman: Arkham City. Arkham City is an entire district of Gotham City that has been walled off to ensure that the criminally insane, of which we know there are many, are kept under lock and key. No longer was Arkham Asylum capable of holding these nut-jobs.
This change of locale means that this sequel will be played out in a larger more open-world environment. It will also give the player a much greater feeling of being in Gotham City itself.
Arkham City promises to bring together an even larger ‘all-star’ cast of characters and super-villains from the Batman universe. It also features new and enhanced gameplay features that will add to your Bat-repertoire.
Batman: Arkham Asylum earned second place in our 2009 Game of The Year Awards and we are certain that Arkham City will feature heavily in 2011′s run-down also.
We will bring you more information on this future blockbuster as we get it, but for now feast your eyes on the screen-shots in our gallery!
