Sony: PSN Trophies Safe, Company Planning to "Make Good" with PS3 Gamers

Second PSN outage Q&A puts the focus back on the games.

With the threat of identity and/or credit card theft looming in the wake of the PlayStation Network security breach, numerous posters to PS3 forums appeared more concerned with their gaming history than their credit history, asking a common question: are my Trophies safe? Yes, Sony revealed today, yes they are.

Posting the second installment in its PSN outage Q&A on the PlayStation Blog, Sony said PS3 gamer settings, friends lists, and trophies are all intact and will be re-synched once the network is back up and running, possibly as early as Tuesday.

As for subscribers to MMOs like DC Universe Online and Free Realms, Sony said it plans to "make good," though it did not reveal specifics. And PSN and Qriocity users as a whole should also expect some form of digital apology:

"We are currently evaluating ways to show appreciation for your extraordinary patience as we work to get these services back online," Sony stated.
