Bethesda Touts 2011 Lineup, Confirms Release Dates

Developer/publisher promises great year for gamers.

As if to say, "Top that," Bethesda Softworks used a single press release to confirm the 2011 release dates for a foursome of heavy hitters today: Rage, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Brink, and Hunted: The Demon's Forge.

Whether developing, publishing, or both, Bethesda has a hand in four of the year's most anticipated multiplatform titles, and today confirmed when gamers will be able to get their hands on them.

We are thrilled to offer our fans such a strong roster of games," said Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda Softworks. "We are excited to present such a diverse line-up of high quality titles. 2011 will be a great year for gamers."

Brink, a first-person shooter under development at Splash Damage, will be available in North America on May 17 and in Europe on May 20. Blending single-player, co-op, and multiplayer action into one seamless experience, Brink features dynamic battlefields, extensive customization options, and an innovative control system.

Hunted: The Demon's Forge, is a fantasy action game under development at inXile Entertainment, the studio formed by Interplay founder Brian Fargo. The game will ship on June 1 in North America and on June 3 in Europe and will feature the intensity and action of a modern-day first-person shooter in a dark fantasy world.

Rage, id Software's long-in-development new IP, will hit retail shelves across North America on September 13 and Europe on September 16. The post-apocalyptic shooter has already won enough awards to fill a small trophy case, and is powered by id's new Tech 5 engine.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the latest title in Bethesda's long-running fantasy RPG franchise. The studio promises to "re-imagine and revolutionize" the open-world fantasy epic when the game launches worldwide on November 11.
