Ubisoft wasn't kidding around when it proclaimed the dance genre was the new king of music games.
The published said today it has sold over 5 million copies of Just Dance 2 to customers worldwide since the game launched back in Oct. 2010.
The franchise to date has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide.
"The strong performance of Just Dance 2 is a perfect example of the potential that can be achieved by an independent publisher like Ubisoft in delivering irresistible content for the Wii system," said Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime in a statement.
Last week, Ubisoft announced its other major dance title for Wii, DS, and PSP, Michael Jackson The Experience, has sold 2 million copies worldwide. Kinect and PlayStation Move versions of the game will launch this April.
