Microsoft has revealed that a total of 1 billion hours are spent each month on Xbox LIVE as it sees a 157% increase in the number of people watching television and movies with its console.

The figures come as Xbox LIVE's latest update goes live, bringing with it a streamlined dashboard, which itself is laying the foundations for Kinect's launch later this week.
